The workshops, which are organized by the project staff, will focus on the country specific legal framework and its implementation in combustion installations, as combustion processes take place in every installation covered by the EU-ETS and incineration installation are the majority (about 80%, i.e. 1200 out of 1400 to 1500 installations in the NMS). Moreover general procedures for the calculation in other installations are similar. The branch specific aspects will be addressed in typical case studies for the calculation of process emissions (e.g. input of limestone in the different installations).

The workshops/seminars deals with the following key issues under the EU-ETS:

JI and CDM
inspection & enforcement
registries and emission trade
